Michal is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (C.H.T.P.) and a Certified Yoga Instructor (C.Y.I.) for over 15 years. Michal has a wide range of healing experiences in dealing with cancer, heart and kidney disease, multiple sclerosis, lupus, depression, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and the dying process. She does private healing as well as pre- and post-op in hospitals. Her current focus is healing matters of the heart and trauma.

In 1995 after Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana, she was volunteering at a hurricane shelter in Baton Rouge. Several weeks later, FEMA hired her to be a part of a team of healers to work on 1st and 2nd Responders. Michal was using the Head to Heart Reconnection that begins to reset the “fight-or-flight” in the amygdala part of the brain. The direct experience of working with adults and children with fresh trauma showed how this technique could bring an immediate sense of calm and wellbeing back into the body and the mind.

Michal also teaches gentle yoga-chi and PTSD – stress relief yoga classes at Santa Fe Soul and privately. She teaches conscious awareness tools through yoga asanas (poses), breathwork, imaging, qigong, mantras and curious and creative attention to whatever presents itself in the moment. “She is like a breath of fresh air,” says one of her students. ” Always present – always teaching from compassion.”

Michal enjoys merging healing and yoga practices to create a multi-level experience of curiosity, growth, feeling safe and healing for Self.
